After finishing my project "An Month of Breakfast: August 2012", I was thinking about the comfort I find in being prolific, the satisfaction of finishing a painting. But I also realized I don't know what happens if I keep working.
With these issues on my mind I stretched a 6'x6' canvas, the largest painting I had ever approached. The goal was not to execute a prescribed image, but to work within a structure of time. With 30 weeks left until the completion of my Masters of Fine Art, I set out to make a 30 week painting.
The resulting painting is what happens when I work on the same painting 30 minutes a, 6 days a week for 30 weeks. The painting was documented every 30 min.
